That “Celebrigay” Relevance

Who are we if we don’t have the followers, the retweets, or the likes?

What’s the point in busting your ass at the gym and making incredible progress, only to get photographic evidence of it, and get just two likes from it on instagram? What’s the point in tweeting an inspirational quote, if it’s not at peak retweet time and just goes ignored?

The need to be relevant has always been a torturous ache for many, and just when you thought the days of being the ignored kid in the playground were over, life once again, comes at you fast and repeats itself for you, just for evil kicks.

So often I see people in my timeline just gagging for some attention from their latest thirst trap. The public nudes, the “gym progress” pics (practically nudes also) and the holiday snaps that just have to get a cock bulge in there, no matter what the bastard angle. This is where we are and what we have become? There has to be better ways of getting attention, surely? The issue seems to be, that it is actually less of an emotional risk, to just go full Tit, n Minge over the internet, than be rejected by making un-fascinating conversation.

I’ve been here too…sometimes, I just get so lonely, I find myself tweeting my ugliest thoughts out there into the ether, just to stop them from strangling me.
